The Company was established in June of 2012 after a need was seen in Lithuania to support MRO and aircraft operators to repair and overhaul aircraft components. Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) describing principals of cooperation and Component Repair Contract have been signed with a major MRO facility in Lithuania.
The company got its initial Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Approval Certificate from LR CAA in June 2013 and operates from a workshop facility close to Vilnius International Airport (VNO) in Lithuania.
In August 2014 Nordic Aircraft Systems received U.S. Department of Transportation approval as a cylinder requalification facility under Section 107.805 of Title 49 Code of
Federal Regulations (49 CFR) and assigned the requalifier identification number (RIN) I443.
The Organisation official name is UAB “Nordic Aircraft Systems” hereafter referred in this document by its trade name as “Nordic Aircraft Systems”.
The scope of operation is to Inspect, Repair, Overhaul and release to service an aircraft electrical, radio, instrumentation, oxygen, hydraulic, galley and emergency equipment components, together with associated equipment and parts under Part 145 approval.
